With the theme of “Gems: Past and Present”, this year’s CMGE will be held both online and offline. There are 30 VR panoramic special booths and 500 standard booths online. The exhibition hall was crowded with exhibitors, buyers and enthusiasts worldwide.

It’s the first time for NJM Mining Pty Ltd in South Africa to participate in CMGE, with rose quartz, fluorite, diamonds and other products.

“The exhibition scale is beyond my expectation, and there are many exhibitors and purchasers coming for inquiry,” Jones Maphalaphathwa, head of the booth, who hopes to seek new partners through CMGE.

Nizam Sharif, an Indian exhibitor who has been to Chenzhou for seven times, greets the customers in front of his booth in Chinese. His ruby series exhibits are very popular.

“It’s quite rewarding to attend the CMGE. I can build relationships with many customers and learn a little Chinese,” said Sharif. As soon as the exhibition opened, a jeweler from Shenzhen Shuibei International Jewelry Trading Center exchanged contact information with him and talked about his purchase intention.

“It’s of great significance to promoting the development of the mining industry through strengthening international cooperation. The CMGE held in Chenzhou has a high reputation and influence in the mineral gemstone industry, making a positive contribution to the development of the global mineral industry,” said the counsellor of the Embassy of Zambia in China. He noted in his speech at the opening ceremony that Zambia, like Chenzhou, is rich in mineral resources, and he is looking forward to deepening cooperation between the two sides in the mining sector. He warmly welcomed Chenzhou enterprises and investors to expand their business in Zambia.
